Walter E. Camp, 79 - Spencer

Walter E. Camp, 79, of Spencer, West Virginia, entered eternal rest awaiting his Savior's return, Sunday, April 20, 2008, after a sudden illness.

He was born December 12, 1928, on Missouri Fork, near Spencer a son of the late John R. and Lucy Hickman Camp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosealea Carte Camp; two brothers, Frank and Delbert Camp; two sisters, Ruth Camp and Evelyn Camp Miller.

Walter is a believer of the Advent Christian faith and faithfully attended the Alexander Baptist Church. He retired from the former Century Aluminum Plant, Ravenswood. Mr. Camp was a Spencer High School graduate with the class of 1946. He also enjoyed helping others, raising miniature horses, woodworking, studying and discussing the Bible, and hunting.

He is honored and revered in love and life by his remaining family; wife, Nada Stalnaker Camp; children and their spouses, Robert and Sheila Camp of Collierville, TN, Stephanie and Russ Rader of Charleston, Stormy and Charlotte D. Stalnaker of Spencer, Debbie Stalnaker of Spencer, Don and Charlotte F. Stalnaker of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Walter's life will be held Thursday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Charles L. Davis and Pastor Robert R. Walker leading the service. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Donations to either the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN or the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
