Bessie Margaret Ledsome, 96 - Reedy

Bessie Margaret Ledsome, 96, of Reedy, West Virginia, died April 18, 2008, at the Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.

She was born April 13, 1912, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late George and Bessie Stump Wilson. During World War II, she worked at Viscose and later at O.J. Morrison's in Spencer. She was a member of the Good Hope Church in Reedy.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Heisel and Myrtle Ledsome of Reedy; one sister, Ocie Fowler of Grantsville, WV; one brother, Raleigh "John" Wilson of Parkersburg, WV; two grandchildren, Eddie Ledsome and Angie Harper; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Golden, Jamie Ledsome and Chad Harper; and one great-great-grandchild, Brock Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tona A. Ledsome in 1979; and one grandson, Rodney Ledsome.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. John Price officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
