WIRT COUNTY APPROVES LEVY IN ALL PRECINCTS - Levy Breakdown Given

Wirt Counties school levy passed in all nine precincts with a vote of 615 for and 246 against. The levy provides 5.5% of the school systems budget and will be in effect for fiscal years 2002-2006. The levy moneys will support the following services: Improvements, equipment, supplies $217,593 Supplements to state paid salaries ($1,250 to each teacher, $1000 to each non-teaching employee) $141,000 Improvements and maintenance to transportation system $50,000 Extracurricular activities $50,000 Free textbooks and supplies $30,000 Library support $5,000 WVU Extension Service $5,000
