CALHOUN'S YOUNG WRITERS WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Submitted by Bryan Sterns The Young Writer's Contest has been completed and winners for Calhoun County have been selected. The first place selections have been submitted to be judged at the West Virginia state level. Grades 1-2 First place, The lost Dog, by Caden Hicks, second grade, Pleasant Hill Elementary. Second place, A Trip to the Zoo, by Echo Richards, second grade, Pleasant Hill Elementary. Third place, The New Dirt Bike, by Eli Stump, 2nd grade, Pleasant Hill Elementary. Grades 3-4 First place, The Cave, by Cole Ritchie, 4th grade, Pleasant Hill Elementary. Second place, Graphite, Helium and the Space Mugs, by Isabelle Haverty, 4th grade, Arnoldsburg Elementary. Third place, A Real Ocean Trip, by Sara Hough, 3rd grade, Arnoldsburg Elementary. Congratulations to all participating students.
