GRANTSVILLE GUPPIES LEARN NUTRITION FACTS

Molly Yoak makes nutrition presentation Submitted by Jim Sullivan Molly Yoak, Certified Dietary Manager at Minnie Hamilton Health System made a nutrition presentation to the Grantsville Guppies 4-H Club at their regular meeting April 3rd. Yoak presented the USDA Food Pyramid for Children stressing the importance of eating a balanced diet. Yoak used models to demonstrate proper serving sizes and had illustrations on how much fat is contained in the foods we eat every day. Following the presentation 4-H members were treated to snacks of fruit juices, raw vegetables with dip and pretzels. Valarie Barr, Casey Hall, Jeff Miller, Stephanie Roberts, Donna Roberts, Ryan Swearengin, Sandy McCumbers, Kathy Barr, Molly Yoak and Jim Sullivan attended the presentation.
