HUGE CONCRETE SLAB FALLS FROM TRUCK DAMAGING CARS

(04/15/2008)
A huge concrete slab fell from a truck yesterday at Cabot Station west of Grantsville, after the load shifted, sliding across Rt. 5 and striking a parked car and truck.

The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. when a truck belonging to David Cain, traveling west, rounded the sharp turn between Cabot Station and Furr's Auto.

Sources at the scene said the straps holding the slab apparently broke.

The weight of the slab reportedly caused indentations into the asphalt road.

No injuries were reported.
