Wirt County residents renewed a school levy yesterday with a vote of 615 for and 246
against. Citizens have been supporting the education levy for 40 years. The present
levy ends on June 30, 2002.
The levy provides free textbooks, instructional supplies, extracurricular activities and
service personnel salaries. The excess levy will not increase taxes.
All levy funds will be used in Wirt County. |
