Mary Margaret Lamp, 83 - Smithville

Mary Margaret Lamp, 83, of Smithville, West Virginia, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Parkersburg.

She was born on March 10, 1925, at Beatrice, W.Va., the daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Parks Stanley.

Mrs. Lamp had worked in the garment industry for 19 years, working both for Economy Industries and United Manufacturing and attended the Hardman Chapel Church.

Mrs. Lamp is survived by five sons, Charles H. "Buddy" of Ellenboro, Bernard F. and David R., both of Harrisville, Roger L. of Glendale and Ronald D. of Elizabeth; two daughters, Mary L. Richards of Smithville and Anna K. Satterfield of Ellenboro; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Bud" Lamp; four brothers, Lutrell, Arlie, Charles and Carl Stanley; one sister, Edith Kerns; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Harlan Hodge and the Rev. Charlene Spaur officiating. Burial will follow in the Ayers Cemetery, Smithville.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
