Vehicles collide on Nobe Rd. near Rt. 16 intersection

Emergency workers give assistance to injured parties

A car and truck collided near the intersection of Nobe Rd. and Rt. 16 at Five Forks General Store at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, sending a patient to Charleston Area Medical Center by HealthNet.

The 50-year-old male passenger was identified on-scene as Gary Ferrell. He was first taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville by Calhoun EMS, reportedly with a head wound.

The 36-year-old driver of the car was not identified. She was taken to MHHS by Calhoun EMS for what was reported as minor injuries.

The driver of the truck, Matt Houchin was not injured.

Sgt. Jeff Skidmore of the Grantsville Detachment was investigating the accident.

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
