Several Pleasant Hill Elementary students read aloud at least 10-15 minutes each night to someone the month of March and tracked their reading on a calendar provided by Title I.

At the end of the month, they turned in their calendars and a random winner was chosen from the group to pick out a prize from our treasure chest.

Joseph Marklow (left) was the March Title I reader! Each child pictured above also received a special prize.

Congratulations to all Title I Readers for March.

Title I will organize this reading incentive program each month of the school year. We hope to increase the number of students participating each month. Research has shown that students who practice reading will become better readers. We hope to encourage more of our students to become Title I Readers of the month.

If you would like to become a Title I Reader of the month and did not receive a calendar, please let Mrs. Ratliff or Mrs. Parsons know. It is not too late to join our club.

Some students were not pictured due to absences.
