FLOOD WATCH THROUGH SATURDAY

A Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Charleston.

The Watch continues for Cabell, Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Jackson, Lewis, Mason, Pleasants, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane, Taylor, Tyler, Wayne, Wirt and Wood counties.

Rain will spread across the area today as a warm front approaches from the south. The front will stall out in the vicinity into Friday morning and bring additional rainfall.

A cold front will sweep through Friday afternoon and evening with showers and possible thunderstorms. Through Friday night - 2 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected in the watch area with locally higher amounts possible.
