MUD FORK CHILD INGESTS RAT POISON

Emergency services responded to a call after noon yesterday when a 19-month-old male had reportedly ingested rat poisoning. The child was from the Mud Fork area and met a Calhoun EMS ambulance at Stinson Grocery. Calhoun 911 contacted the state's Poison Control Center, who evaluated the situation, concluding it was such a small amount the child was not required to be taken to a hospital.
