| Sarah Frances Metz Burrows, 86, of Vienna, passed away on March 15, 2008.
She was born June 14, 1921, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Elihu and Clara Metz. Sarah was a member of the River Valley Nazarene Church of Vienna. She retired from the Wood County Board of Education in 1983 after 10 years of service and was a cook at Neale and Jackson Junior High Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Burrows of Vienna; three daughters, Dortha Gregg (Perry) of Walker, Mary Whitlock (Bud) of Parkersburg and Beverly Scales (Steve) of Kingwood, Texas; one son, Dexter Burrows (Joyce) of Little Hocking; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Arminda Maxwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hershel and Daniel Anderson and Lewis Metz; and one sister, Blondena Morrison.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Keith Hostutler officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
