LSIC PLEASANT HILL PRESENTS PROGRESS TO SCHOOL BOARD |

The Pleasant Hill elementary LSIC made a special presentation to the school board Monday evening regarding the school. Members present Cindy Dale, Joy Starcher, Lee Evans, Steve Whited, and Mike Wilson; superintendent Jane Lynch. There was a discussion, and it was the consensus of the board to remove "itinerant" from PHE and AES elementary postings and the possible need to repost prior to the next regular board meeting. The motion passed unanimously. One student transfer was approved, Stephanie Carpenter - Grade 6 from Roane to Calhoun. The board approved job postings: Elementary Teacher (PHE) - Revision; Elementary Teacher (AES) - Revision; After-School Elementary Reading Teacher (AES). The board approved a proposal for a Tie Breaker Procedure by drawing cards. A special school-wide trip to Charleston Civic Center (PHE) was approved for April 17, 2008. Another trip to Fairmont State University, the Gear Up Program, was approved for April 3. The next special board meeting is scheduled for March 24 at the board office.
