| Faye Thomas Barr, 93, of Glenville, West Virginia, passed away March 8, 2008 at SunBridge Care Center of Salem following an extended illness.
Born January 28, 1915 in Marion County, WV, she was a daughter of the late S.K. and Rose Haggerty Thomas. She was a retired school teacher in Calhoun County, retiring in 1991 at the age of 76 with 21 years service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Ailes of Grantsville, WV and Phoebe B. Dailey (James) of Nicholasville, KY; one son, James T. Barr (Joann) of New Milton, WV; 10 grandchildren, Lisa Ball (Dane), Beth Hopkins (Rick), Julie Stevens, Tom Dailey, Jana Robinson (Brad), Ben Robinson III (Suzanne), Michael Robinson (Susan), Sara Greeninger, James T. Barr III (Lorie), and Clara Jean McGill (Mark); and 20 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Barr, and a daughter, Susan Griffin.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13 at the First Baptist Church of Glenville. Rev. Gerald Morgan will officiate. Interment will be in the Meadow Lane Cemetery at Glenville.
Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church Thursday. |
