Joseph Leo Padgett, 16 - Orma

Joseph Leo Padgett, 16, of Orma, West Virginia, passed away March 3, 2008 at Charleston Area Medical Center of injuries received in an auto accident on March 2, 2008 at Chloe.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was a son of Janice Marks of Orma and Ronald Padgett of Indianapolis. He had been a student at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center, was an avid hunter and enjoyed working on cars.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his stepfather, Phillip Marks of Orma; stepsisters, Marie (Tim) Leach of Wooster, Ohio, Jeni Hannah of Orma and Patti (Kenny) Gainer of Doylestown Ohio; a stepbrother, Doy (Jackie) Hannah of Chloe; half brothers, Michael (Angie) Hannah of Wooster, and Ronnie and Marcus Padgett of Indianapolis.

Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Penny Taylor of Chloe; a great grandfather, Alphonse Obermeyer of Indianapolis; an aunt, Christina Taylor of Orma; an uncle, Donald Engle of Indianapolis; cousins, Tony and Susanna Engle of Indianapolis, nieces and nephews, Andrea, Alyssa, Brandon, Brittany, Tara, Tiffany, Levi, Leah and Tyler; and a former stepfather, Doy Hannah of Orma.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeremiah Taylor, grandfather, Joe Taylor and great grandmother, Thelma Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Tim Hickman will officiate. Interment will be in the Foreman Cemetery at Maysel.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
