A 16-year-old teen was critically injured just before midnight in a two-car collision on Rt. 16, south of Chloe at the Stinson Grocery.

Sources identified Joey Padgett, 16, as critically injured with head trauma. He was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center by HealthNet early Sunday morning.

Calhoun EMS reportedly transported Phillip Marks, age about 34, to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville. Marks reportedly was suffering from head trauma and was life-flighted by chopper to CAMC later this morning.

An older female, unidentified, was taken to CAMC by a Clay County ambulance that was called to the scene for mutual assistance.

Sources at the scene said Cody Clark, about 16, apparently received injuries and was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville by private vehicle.

No information was available regarding the vehicles or associated drivers or occupants.

Calhoun EMS dispatched two ambulances, Clay County one ambulance, with the Upper West Fork VFD also responding.
