Lisa Walker demonstrates microfilm reader at Calhoun library

A newly obtained microfilm reader has been installed in the Robert Knotts Historical Room at the Calhoun County Library.

"The new reader will allow the public to read old issues of the county newspaper and other historical records," said Walker.

The reader has some special features, including the ability to make hard copies of the material or transferring the material to a computer, which can then be emailed.

The library has made a number of recent improvements, including a new roof, fresh paint and some new furniture.
