NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED IN BRAXTON SHOOTING

(02/26/2008)
State police say no criminal charges will be filed in a case where a 12-year-old boy was accidentally shot and killed in Braxton County earlier this month.

Police say a six-year-old boy found a hunting rifle, and accidentally shot and killed his brother, Samuel Colton Westfall.

The guns weren't locked up, but State Police say they met with the prosecutor and no charges will be filed in the case.

The accident happened at the family's home at Exchange.

Samuel was a sixth grade student at Braxton County Middle School and was an avid hunter and sportsman.
