Norma Jean Schoolcraft Norman Cottrill, 77 of New Bern, North Carolina formerly of Mt. Zion, WV. passed away February 19, 2008. Resulting from an upper respiratory illness. She was born March 15, 1930, at Sand Ridge, West Virginia. A daughter of the late Harley and Louise (Ross) Schoolcraft. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother John Schoolcraft and one sister, Nina (Schoolcraft) Groves, also her first husband Donzel "Dude" Norman. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in law, Donzel (Cathy) Norman, of New Bern, North Carolina, Harley (Pam) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Vernon (Gloria) Norman of Creston, West Virginia; and one daughter and son-in-law, Norma (Ron) Mowrey of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia. Also seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Gordon (Hope) Schoolcraft of Orma, West Virginia, Leon Schoolcraft of Elyria, Ohio and Raymond Schoolcraft of Grantsville, West Virginia; and one sister, Lou (Schoolcraft) Boggs of McCellandtown, Pennsylvania. She was cremated at her request. A private burial will be held at a later date at the family's convenience. Burial will be in the Metz Cemetery, Sand Ridge, West Virginia.
