CUSTOMERS FLOCK TO PIZZA BARN'S FIRST DAY

(02/25/2008)

The Pizza Barn on Rt. 5 just east of Grantsville opened Friday with lots of customers, according to co-owner Susan Newell.

"It was non-stop after we opened at 10 a.m. to mid-afternoon. We were very excited," she said.

The Pizza Barn is eat-in and carry-out, with delivery available in the area.

"We expect the delivery service to be a real plus," said Newell.

Newell and co-owner Crystal Bell have been carefully planning on what will appeal to local residents, everything from the menu to a large play area for youngsters.

The menu will include lots of food items, but will be focused on pizza, including a 16" pizza with one topping for $9.

Offerings include spaghetti, lasagna, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, taco salad, soup beans, appetizers, desserts and homemade food specials.

"We'll have the regular foods people love," said Newell, with unlimited drink refills with eat-in orders. "Our indoor environment is smoke and alcohol free and includes a special play area for youngsters, pool tables, pinball machines, juke box, big screen TV's and Wii games," she said.

The Pizza Barn hours are:
Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight
Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Phone orders can be placed as early as one hour before opening time each day. 354-7900.
