WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ISSUED UNTIL 6 AM FRIDAY

A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 6 am EST Friday. A band of snow will spread the area early Thursday evening as a warm front approaches from the south with less than an inch of accumulation. A transition to freezing rain will occur tonight with ice of around a tenth of an inch expected. The temperature will rise above freezing after sunrise turning any freezing rain over to rain. As a result, driving conditions will improve by midday.
