(02/19/2008)
A Charleston Area Medical Center spokesperson told the Herald Monday night that the shooter in a Roane County domestic dispute is listed in critical condition.

Nolan "Billy" Kuhn, 45, of Walton was flown to Charleston Sunday after shooting his ex-wife, then turning the weapon on himself.

The woman was identified as 43-year-old Candis Kuhn. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Kuhn also shot his dog at his wife's feet.

It was a violent week for domestic disputes in West Virginia.

On Saturday, Kanawha County sheriff's officials were called to the scene of a triple-shooting in Sissonville.

Lt. Sean Crosier says 43-year-old Edgar Sigmond shot his 42-year-old wife, Gina Sigmond, and her friend, 52-year-old Steve Woodall of Huntington. Sigmond then shot himself. All three died as a result of their wounds.

Police say Gina Sigmond had obtained a restraining order against her husband earlier last week.
