RELAY FOR LIFE LUMINARIA CEREMONY TONIGHT

(06/21/2008)
'Cruisin' for a Cure' Calhoun County's Relay for Life 2008 is set for tonight at Wayne Underwood Field in Grantsville.

"We are flashing back to the 50's with an antique car show, twist-off, hoola-hoop contest and so much more," said Relay Chairperson, Barb McKown.

The annual Luminaria ceremony will be held at 9:30 p.m.

"Please join us in honoring your friends and family who have battled cancer by purchasing a luminaria to be displayed at the 2008 Relay For Life. These candles also serve as symbols of hope to us as we continue to work for a cure for the disease that claims so many lives," said Jean Simers, Luminaria Ceremony Coordinator.

Every Candle Has A Name

…There's a name of the ones who are still here.
There's a name of those gone we still hold dear.
There's a name, each one shining in the flames.
And we know, that every candle has a name...John W. Storey
