Just when I thought I got away from "that bug that's going around", it hit me like a ton of bricks. I could give you a huge description, but nobody needs to get grossed out. I will tell you that I got to spend a few hours visiting in Minnie Hamilton. There is nothing like a little chat about HMO's over glucose cocktails on a snowy evening, is there? The staff was really good to me and I appreciate that. Although I do have small issues with the gowns. Do you have anything more flattering? Maybe in a different color? Anyway, I need to give a shout out to Patricia M. for remaining one of the coolest of the former Calhoun General crowd. (I, of course, am already a member of that crowd) I did not realize that since I started writing I had been catapulted into superstardom rather than just plain celebrity status. I don't see them ready to name a unit or anything after me just yet, but let me know, I will be standing by!

Ritchie County youth wrestlers in practice

Due to this wonderful illness, I missed Ethan's wrestling tournaments this past weekend. He even had some good matches. (Maybe that's a sign, I didn't go, he wins...) I love getting in the action and taking pictures of the kids. It kills me to miss them. I do want to congratulate our team for a job well done! A special shout out to Tommy L. for really putting the hammer down. Our next meet is in Sunny Cal (or Snowy Cal, whichever the case may be) on the 17th. Please remember that there is a special at my shop in which a portion of the profit will be donated to the Jr. Wrestlers. This offer is open to family, friends, and fans of our upcoming Ritchie superstars. Stop by and check it out!

It has been brought to my attention there were some borrowing of personal items from vehicles at Golden Corral on Saturday night. (One located further south from us) It seemed odd to me that the items were stolen from mostly military folks. If you're a thief, how do you know whose is a military vehicle and whose is not? I'm no Deputy Dawg or anything, but it seems there might have been some prior knowledge. I also think it is very sad that some stoop to such a level to steal from folks that bust their butts to save our country. The same people who now have to wonder if their identity is now being used as just writing on a wall?

I'm not really getting into the bizarre weather we have been having. As I write this, it seems we are getting pummeled with snow. My kids are going to school tomorrow. I mean it. I can't take this delay stuff every other day of the week. We will be going to school until July. In which case, we won't have to worry about paying high season rates on a beach condo, because we will still be getting our education we didn't get in February.

In case you have forgotten, Valentine's Day is this week. Please remember Valentine's Day should be from the heart not necessarily from the wallet. (Don't get me wrong, I will accept any Valentines that come my direction) But, anyway, the heart is where it all begins.

Health and happiness for the upcoming week.
