Missouria Kay Nicholas, 53 - Orma

Missouria Kay Nicholas, 53, of Orma, West Virginia, went to see the Lord on February, 8, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

She was born November 18, 1954 the daughter of the late Lizzie (Nutter) and Elbert Beckett. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and Baptist by faith.

She is survived by her husband, Denver Nicholas of Orma; daughters, Emma (Jerry) Howell and Melissa Nicholas and fiancé' Steven Rhodes of Orma.

Also surviving are, stepchildren, David (Sharon) Nicholas, Joyce (Bob) Stout, and Robin (Luke) McCumbers all of Orma, Dale (Mary) Nicholas of Alabama, and Patrick (Beth) Nicholas of Chloe.

Also step grandchildren, Allen (Michele) Nicholas of Orma, Dean (Jennifer) Nicholas of Arnoldsburg, Travis (Twila) Nicholas of Chloe, Sean (Maria) Carpenter of North Carolina, and Chris (Crystal) Carpenter of Orma, Patricia West and Jordon Delaney of Orma, Kirstie Nicholas of Spencer, Denver and Timothy Nicholas of Alabama, and Lucas and Carol McCumbers of Orma.

Also step great-grandchildren, Justin, Evan, Mason, Jarrett, Alex and Abigail Nicholas, Logan and Savannah Carpenter, Ashley and Brooklyn Carpenter, Zachary Stout, Victoria and Paige West. Sisters, Ruth Rhodes of Parkersburg, Evelyn Beckett of Orma, Margaret Rush of Sand Ridge, and Barbara Taylor Of North Carolina. Brothers, Danny Beckett of Chloe and Virgil Beckett of Millstone. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 infant sisters and stepdaughter, Wanda Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Elder George Rose will officiate. Interment will be in the Nicholas Cemetery at Orma.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
