COMMISSION WILL DEAL WITH ELECTION ITEMS

The Calhoun Commission will have two meetings Monday, the regular meeting at 9 a.m. and a second meeting at 11 a.m., that one sitting as a board of equalization and review. The commission has seven meetings scheduled in February. The Commission will deal with a number of items related to the election. Also on the agenda, processing or approval of a number of grants, including courthouse front steps, Youth Force Grant, Alternative Sentencing Grant, Historic Preservation Grant, trail grants, ARC Sandridge-Upper West Fork waterline, courthouse security grant. Some agenda items: - Appointments to boards and authorities. - Employment request, deputy sheriff. - Committee reports. - Budget revisions. - Set March meetings for budget hearings.
