Calhoun Middle Wrestlers finished their season at the CWVAC Conference on February 2 at Braxton Middle School.

Placing 1st in team score was Clay Middle and 2nd went to Wirt County.

Conference champions for Calhoun at 5-0 were Justin Yoak, Seth Wease and Jared Haught.

Individual records were - 78# Logan Moore 1-3, 84# Justin Siers 0-1, 95# Jean Blair 2-3, 102# Levi Gordon 0-5, 123# David Overbay 0-5, 135# Cory Metz 4-1, 145# Thomas Smith 2-3, 155# Cory Beder 2-3, and 171# Cody Starcher 3-2.

Season records are - Moore 4-5, Siers 7-25, Blair 31-13, Gordon 6-30, Yoak 36-7, Wease 25-9, Overbay 8-30, Haught 34-5, Metz 31-12, Smith 18-19, Beder 4-5, and Starcher 13-24.

Eighth grade wrestlers will be recognized on Friday, February 8 at the CMS boy's basketball game at 5 p.m.

Coach Hixon and the wrestlers would like to thank everyone that helped make this season a success.
