Reece "Fuzzy" Cottrill, 81 - Spencer

Reece "Fuzzy" Cottrill, 81, of Spencer, West Virginia, died February 3, 2008 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a short illness. He was born at Frozen Run, WV, September 15, 1926. He worked as a laborer and retired as custodian from Gilmer County Schools. He was a member of the Frozen Run Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Suzanna Bennett Cottrill; daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Jack Covalt of LaGrange, Ohio, Carolyn and Jerry Conley and Patty and Steve Woods of Spencer, Sheila and Mike Nelson of Poca, WV; sons, James "Ace" Cottrill and his companion Jan of Normantown, WV, Burlan Cottrill of Cleveland, OH, and Steven and wife Margaret Cottrill of Shock, WV; sisters, Annabelle Stump of Orma, WV and Myretta Riley of Stumptown, WV; brothers, Ronzel "Cobb" Cottrill of Warren, OH, Russell "Dee" Cottrill of Shock, Denzil "Leon" Cottrill of Mt. Zion, WV and Denver "Paul" Cottrill of Nicut, WV; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents Ezra and Ellen Salyers Cottrill, and sisters, Geneva and Mae. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 6 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Elder Larry Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Normantown. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
