CALHOUN ALUMNA TO BE UNIVERSITY WVU NEWS PERSONALITY

A former Calhoun graduate will soon be appearing on one of the country's prominent college broadcast programs.

Susan Sullivan, a 2004 graduate of Calhoun County High School, was selected to sit behind the desk for the Pearly Isaac Reed School of Journalism's Broadcast News program at West Virginia University.

Sullivan is one of six BN students to represent the school in this semester's WVU News course.

The 20-person undergraduate class will report, direct, produce, anchor and tape their own newscasts this semester under he direction of Prof. Gina Dahlia.

Dahlia's course has generated award-winning newscasts and reporters since 2001.

Susan recently traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to play with the Mountaineer Marching Band at the Fiesta Bowl.

Her name appeared on the President's List for the Fall 2007 semester.

Susan is the Daughter of Jim and Colleen Sullivan of Smithville and the Grandaughter of Eileen Sullivan and the late Earl Sullivan of Big Bend and the late Richard and Grace Litzenburg of Smithville.
