SOUTH CHARLESTON MURDER - A South Charleston man has been charged with shooting another man dead after an apparent argument at 2:15 A.M. on Smith Creek Road, according to Kanawha Sheriff's deputies.

Detectives arrested Daniel Eads, Sr., 63, of South Charleston, in connection with the shooting death of Michael John McNamara, 46, also of South Charleston.

Eads is charged with murder and was in the South Central Regional Jail Sunday.

Deputies say the shooting happened at Eads' house and that McNamara had been staying there for a short while.

"There was some type of disturbance and argument between the two which may have led to an altercation and the shooting," said Lieutenant Bryan Stover.

HUNTINGTON ARMED HOLD-UPS - Police are investigating an armed robbery in Huntington.

This time at the Fruth Pharmacy at the corner of 7th Avenue and 1st Street.

Witnesses say that a man walked into the store just before 1:00 Sunday afternoon and demanded money.

No arrests have been made.

Two men robbed the Red Roof Inn just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

The motel is just off Interstate 64 at the 29th Street Exit.

Police say the two men got away with $162.01.

No one was injured.

Early Saturday morning, a man walked into a Speedway and robbed it. Police say it happened just after 4 a.m. on 5th Street road.

An employee says the suspect came in, demanded money and hit the employee in the head.

Police are looking for a small, white Toyota pick-up truck. It was last seen headed toward Lavalette.

The suspect is about 5 foot 10 and had on a black hoodie sweatshirt.
