Louis Edward Milam, 64 - Arnoldsburg

Louis Edward Milam, 64, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord January 26, 2008.

Born at Bloomingrose, Boone County, WV, he was a son of the late George Marshall and Myrtle Harrison Milam.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church, Grantsville, where he served on the church board. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a long time Christian witness in his community.

Surviving are his wife, Betty, and a son, Michael and his wife Laura of Charlotte, North Carolina; sisters, Lucille Ferguson and her husband Bob of Elyria, Ohio, and Barbara Kay Milam of Bloomingrose; two grandchildren, Colby and Austin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Milam.

Funeral services will be held 12-noon Wednesday, January 30 at Victory Baptist Church, Grantsville. Reverends Mike Worf, Alfred Hickman and Charles McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Broomstick Cemetery at Five Forks with Military Graveside Rites.

Friends may call at Victory Baptist Church from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the services Wednesday.

Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
