| Peggy J. Drake, 60, of Spencer died Oct. 20, 2001, at Roane General
Hospital, Spencer after a sudden illness.
She was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Roane County, a daughter of Vera A. West
Snodgrass of Spencer and the late Joseph Eugene Snodgrass. She was a retired
teachers aide with the Roane County Board of Education with over 30 years of
service and attended the Speed United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Harlan Drake; one
daughter, Sheri Drake of Spencer; one son, Earl Gene Drake of Columbus,
Ind.; two sisters, Patricia ''Tish'' Wagner of Athens, Ohio, and Carolyn
''Katy'' Sheppard of Green Bank, W.Va.; one brother, Joseph ''Mike''
Snodgrass of Port Clinton, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Leah, Caleb and
Lydia Drake.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home,
Spencer, the Rev. Lester Walker officiating. Burial in Eventide Cemetery,
Spencer. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
