RON BLANKENSHIP FILES FOR LEGISLATURE

(01/26/2008)
Former Calhoun educator and long-time resident Ron Blankenship has filed for the WV House of Delegates, 33rd District, which includes parts of Gilmer and Clay County.

Del. Bill Stemple, who will have held the position for 12 years, is now running for Sheriff of Calhoun County.

Blankenship retired last year as Superintendent of Schools, and has been a longtime administrator, familiar with the WV Legislature. He was selected as the state's Superintendent of the Year.

The Secretary of State's office reported that Rick W, Frame of Normantown also filed for Stemple's House seat, in addition to David Walker of Clay.
