LEWIS WOMAN SHOT, DRUGS DISCOVERED - A Lewis County woman is hospitalized in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the stomach and her uncle is under arrest.

Lewis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Anthony Flanery on assault charges.

Officers say Flanery fired a single shot at his niece, 32-year-old Christina Hall, at his home in Firebrick.

Police say they recovered a handgun and more than 100 bottles of prescription painkillers including Oxycontin, Loracet and Percocet.

ELKINS STABBING - Joseph Bonner found three men in his home with his wife. Two men were taken to Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins after being stabbed.

The Randolph County 911 Center says it got a call from Bonner, saying he had come home and found three men in his house with his wife.

The men apparently got into a fight and Bonner pulled out a knife.

He stabbed one man in the stomach and another man in the face and right arm.

Bonner was arrested and taken to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail and then posted bond.

MORGANTOWN ARMED ROBBERY - An armed robbery in Morgantown has sent one person to the hospital over the weekend.

At 4:00 a.m. Saturday at the Augusta Apartments, four people were robbed at gunpoint by two other men inside one of the apartments.

One of the victims was severely beaten and taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. The three others were not hurt.

The suspects are described as one white man and one black man.

ARREST IN MOTEL SHOOTING DEATH - Police have arrested Jeffrey Harrison, 43, of Huntington, after a fatal shooting at a Cabell County motel.

Harrison is suspected in the shooting death of Jason Finley, 29, of Chesapeake, Ohio, according to Cabell County Sheriff's Department Sgt. M.A. Clark.

The incident happened at the Huntington Inn, formerly the Colonial Motel, on U.S. 60.

Police received calls about the shooting between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Finley was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where he later died.

MCDOWELL HOMICIDE - The West Virginia State Police crime scene team were called to McDowell County to assist in the investigation of the homicide of a McDowell man.

Trooper M.S. Horton of the Welch Detachment of the West Virginia State Police said the murder victim was a man in his mid-60s.

The shooting happened at the victim's residence in the O'Toole community on County Road 8, between Anawalt and Jenkinjones.

Horton said, "I do have a few suspects, but all I can say right now is that the case is under investigation."

GAS STATION HOLD-UP - Police are looking for suspects after an armed robbery in Morgantown.

State Police say a man and a woman entered the Chevron on Grafton Road, where the man reportedly demanded money while holding a knife. They were both wearing hooded sweatshirts and the woman had a bandanna covering her face.

They got away with cash and took off in a yellow SUV toward the Grafton area.
