Mary J. Camden, 66, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in Akron. She was born June 12, 1941 in Grantsville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Mansel and Hazel Starcher Hughes. She was a a homemaker and had been a resident of Akron since 1958. She is survived by three children, Hazel (Ron) Perle, James Bennett, and Betty Stecyk (Steve) all of Akron; two sisters, Carolyn Miller and Shirley Naylor, both of Millstone, West Virginia; one brother, Lonnie Hughes of Spencer, West Virginia; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bennett; a son, Roger; and a daughter Patricia. Services are 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2008 at the Mt. Olive Church, at Hur, Calhoun County, WV. Rev. Carl Marks will officiate. Burial will be in the Hur Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the church. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
