Wanda Jean Harler, 70, of Stow, Ohio, formerly of Uler, Roane County, West Virginia, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, in the Stow Glen Health Center, Stow.

She was born Saturday, May 29, 1937, at Newton, a daughter of the late Kenneth Thomas and Elva Ethel Drake Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Grover Harler.

Wanda was a retired secretary for the Montgomery Ward store in Charleston. She was a 1955 graduate of Spencer High School and a member of the Uler Memorial Church, Uler.

Survivors include two sisters, Eloise F. Estep Everly and her husband, Richard of Stow, OH, Merle L. King and her husband, Earlie of Tallmadge, OH; one brother, Thomas K. Smith and his wife, Barbara of Spencer.

The funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. John B. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Uler. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
