FIREMEN RESPONDING TO EARLY MORNING BLAZE

2:30 AM - Firemen from Arnoldsburg and Upper West Fork VFDs are responding to a house fire in a remote area between Nicut Run and Walnut Road. The house reportedly belongs to Jackie McCumbers, and was said to be "on the ground" as firemen arrived, with firemen warned about a large propane tank adjacent the house. The house was described as a small wooden dwelling. Neighbors reported the fire, noting that McCumbers lived by himself. Reports later said McCumbers was safe, visiting his sister. The property originally belonged to Charles McCumbers.
