Sorority sisters present "Boo-Boo Bunnies" to children

Submitted by Jim Sullivan

Amanda Lay and Mica Seman of Marietta College's Alpha Xi Delta sorority stopped by Minnie's Rainbow Day Care Center to deliver "Boo-Boo Bunnies" to the children recently.

The Center is located at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.

The ladies gave each child a bunny, made of a washcloth and decorations. Ice can be placed inside the bunny creating a cold compress.

Ms. Lay explained that the sorority's philanthropy is "Choose Children." Each year, the ladies raise money for various children's charities.

This year, during recruitment, each individual that came through the door made a bunny to be distributed. The ladies enjoyed allowing each child to pick their favorite color. "This is the best part, making the kids happy," they said.
