Vada Reip Davis, 91 - Pennsylvania, formerly of Orma

Vada Reip Davis, 91, of Espyville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Orma, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2007 at her home.

She was born at Orma, a daughter of the late Curt and Lucy Tucker Parsons. She had been a resident of of Orma until four years ago when she moved to Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a devoted housewife and mother. For over thirty years she was a caregiver for many people in her own home. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and bird watching. She loved to travel in her younger years.

Surviving are her son, Dalton Reip, Jr. and his wife Norma Jean of Minnora; one daughter, Emma Jean Conley and her husband Victor of Espyville; 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Everett Parsons and his wife Lori of Elizabeth.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dalton Reip, Sr., and her second husband Dale Davis, a son, Robert Blaine Reip and a daughter Delores Jewell Hersman and twelve siblings.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Interment will be in the Reip Cemetery at Orma.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
