Gordon Rogers, 82, of Orma, West Virginia, died Thursday, December 20, 2007, in Spencer.
He was born April 1, 1925, in Ridgefield Park, NJ, a son of the late Chester Newton and Renee Myers Rogers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jane Buck Rogers.
Gordon was the retired president and co-owner of Star Communications, Inc. dba WVRC 104.7 FM, Spencer. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Charleston.
Survivors include his daughter, Diane I. Zdanek of Spencer; sons, Jeffrey G. Rogers of Hagerstown, MD and Bruce H. Rogers of Waldwick, NJ; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 29, at the First Church of Christ Scientist in Charleston, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to First Church of Christ Scientist, P.O. Box 664, Charleston, WV 25323-0664.
