Ruth J. (Weekly) Stemple, 83 - Walker

Ruth J. (Weekly) Stemple, 83, of Walker, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.

She was born November 29, 1924 at Frozen, Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Jessie Mae Siers Weekly.

Ruth enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, birds and animals, and sewing. She made clothing for her daughter, Connie all through her school years and made quilts in the later years. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Shaffer and her husband Michael; a brother Edgar Weekly of Grantsville; step children, Mike Stemple (Paulette), Don Stemple, John Stemple (Carol Ann), Carol June Gong (Gary), and Charlotte Stemple; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Leo K. Stemple; brothers, Leo, Charles, Booney, and Ronzel; two sisters, Zella Brown, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 28 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Mike Worf will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lower Nicut.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
