SHINING STAR FOR BRAXTON'S CAROL WRIGHT

(12/24/2007)

Carol Wright (pictured right) lives in Rosedale, Braxton County. Her family says she is always doing things for other people. She cooks meals and delivers them to sick people and builds Burden Bears to give to hospice patients.

She is an all around giver, hard worker and loves people. She was widowed over two years ago after 51 years of marriage, having gone on with her life - an all around giver, hard worker, and loving people.

Ms. Wright also lost one of her three grandchildren in January of 2007. He was 17 years old and died in his sleep one night.

But she has kept her mind busy, working, baking, and cooking, always reaching out when others burdens are heavy.

"I wish I could be more like her. We all could use a little of her strength and country wisdom, says daughter Pam Mayle, who has suggested a shining star.
