POLICE SAY I-79 SHOOTING A FALSE ALARM |
(12/20/2007) |
State Police are saying that reports of a man shot in a tractor trailer on I-79 in Clay County may have been a false alarm. Shortly after 8:00 Wednesday night, 911 dispatchers got a report that a man had been shot inside the cab of a tractor trailer that was headed south on I-79. A number of troopers responded, including the Sheriff's Department of Clay County. A few hours later State Police said the tractor trailer had not been found, that the initial information about a shooting victim was secondhand information from a CB radio report.
