WV BUCK KILL UP SLIGHTLY

(12/07/2007)
The DNR says West Virginia hunters killed 66,570 bucks during the 2007 gun season.

"That's up slightly from last years figures and about what we expected," said Paul Johansen, Game Management Supervisor at the West Virginia DNR.

The number of antlerless deer (doe) killed during the season has not been released.

The regional deer kill numbers will be released by DNR officials in Charleston.
