VETERAN'S DAY ASSEMBLY -Secretary Of State Joe Manchin III To Attend

The Calhoun County High School Student Council is hosting an assembly for veteran's on Thursday, November 8, 2001. This event will take place in the auditorium at 1:30 p.m. Special recognition will be given to veterans who have served in any branch of the military. WV Secretary of State Joe Manchin III will attend the assembly. He will be speaking on the WV SHARES (Saving History and reaching Every Student) Program. Veteran's are asked to send a photo of themselves, while serving in the military. The photos will be used in a special presentation of the program. If you participated and sent a photo for last years program, it is not necessary to submit an additional photo. However the form must be completed and returned. Each veteran is asked to bring no more than one guest, due to limited space. A reception for honorees and guests will follow the assembly.
