STATE DEER KILL DOWN AFTER BIG START

(11/27/2007)
After a big bang start, it appears West Virginia's deer kill is down.

The Herald will survey Calhoun's check-in stations today.

The DNR says it looks like deer hunting is down this year compared to last.

A telephone survey conducted by the Division says the harvest count is down 12-13% from last year.

Season continues statewide through Friday.
