BURNED CAR RE-IGNITES ON BACK OF WRECKER

(11/27/2007)

Car catches on fire on back of Furr's wrecker

AVFD fireman Ryan Shartiger quickly puts out blaze

Following a wrecker-car collision yesterday on Rt. 16 south of Chloe, Furr's Wrecker Service dispatched three wreckers to the scene, transporting the wrecked vehicles back to Grantsville.

Following the collision, the vehicles caught on fire.

Owners of the service, Tom and Dick Ullum, had a problem while transporting the car down the West Fork near Arnoldsburg.

The car re-ignited on the back of a flat-bed wrecker, and a call was made to the Arnoldsburg VFD for assistance.

Firemen quickly extinguished the blaze.
