Delbert Lee "Bo" Gainer, 73 - Big Springs

Delbert Lee "Bo" Gainer, 73, of Big Springs, West Virginia, died at his home on Saturday, November 17, 2007.

He was a US Marine Corps veteran and an avid motorcycle rider. He was retired from the State Department of Highways. He was a friend and helper to many people.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Gunn Gainer; two sons, Timothy L. Gainer, and Ron Gainer, both of Barberton, Ohio; a daughter, Teresa Richards of Big Springs; one sister, Emma Wease of Pine Creek; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Gainer was the son of the late Cleo "Crede" and Phlema Hathaway Gainer of Pine Creek.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Delbert Cleo "Crede" Gainer, three sisters, Delma Whytsell, Wanza Marsh and Greta Marks, and a brother Jennings "Buck" Gainer.

At his request Mr. Gainer was cremated.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 1 at St. Paul Church on Pine Creek Road near Grantsville with a sunset graveside service to follow.

In lieu of flowers Mr. Gainer requested donations be made to the St. Paul Cemetery Fund - c/o Calhoun Banks, PO Box 430 Grantsville, WV 26147 or c/o Lola Clark, 6480 Pine Creek Road, Grantsville, WV 28147.

Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
