PRINCIPAL HOOVER'S WEAPONS CASE SENT TO WIRT CIRCUIT COURT

(11/20/2007)
Wirt County Middle School principal J.D. Hoover appeared before Wirt County Magistrate Janey Wigal yesterday, facing two felony counts of a firearms violation.

Wigal found Hoover's case to have probable cause and it will be sent to Wirt circuit court.

The criminal complaint says Hoover told the Wirt County School Superintendent he brought two weapons onto school property on October 8th, then left school grounds and returned with one firearm in his vehicle.

Hoover is currently on bond.

He has reportedly been suspended, pending the outcome of the case.

A court date has not been set.
